Chamomile Coco Balm is a gentle, golden balm built around one of the world's best-loved calming flowers. Chamomile has comforted people for thousands of years. The ancient Egyptians dedicated it to Ra, their sun god, and the Greeks named it "ground apple" for the sweet, apple-like scent of its sunny little blooms. It was one of the nine sacred herbs of Anglo-Saxon England, and it has been a favourite in European cottage gardens and family remedies ever since. Chamomile's soft, soothing character comes from its natural compounds, among them bisabolol, apigenin and the blue-tinted chamazulene. These compounds are why chamomile is still found in so many gentle skincare products today. In this balm, whole Chamomile flowers are slowly infused into pure Coconut Oil, then blended with natural Beeswax. The result is a rich, protective balm that melts into the skin and brings comfort to dry, chapped and sensitive areas. It has just three simple ingredients and no added fragrance or essential oils, so it's gentle enough for the whole family.

• Chamomile flowers (Matricaria chamomilla) infused in Coconut (Cocos nucifera) Oil, and Beeswax.

Usage

Warm a small amount between your fingertips and smooth it gently onto clean, dry skin.

Use as often as needed on dry, chapped or sensitive areas, including lips, hands, elbows, knees and heels.

For children, apply a thin layer to dry patches as needed.

The balm melts on contact with the skin, so a little goes a long way.

Avoid if you are allergic to plants in the daisy family (such as ragweed, chrysanthemums or marigolds). Chamomile belongs to this family.

Contains Coconut Oil and Beeswax. Avoid if you are allergic to coconut or bee products. Not vegan.

Patch test before first use, especially on children and sensitive skin.

Do not apply to broken, bleeding or infected skin, or near the eyes.

Do not apply to fresh sunburn. Cool the skin with water first, as rich balms can trap heat.

Stop use if redness, itching, burning or rash occurs.

Keep out of reach of children when not in use. Store in a cool place, as coconut oil softens and melts in warm weather. This doesn't affect the balm.
