Rustic Soap Charcoal & Clay brings together two of the oldest cleansing materials known. Clay has been used for washing and skin care since ancient times, from the mud baths of Egypt and Rome to the clay-washing traditions of Africa and the Middle East. Bentonite clay forms from ancient volcanic ash and is known for its silky, absorbent texture. Activated carbon is charcoal that has been "opened up" with steam into millions of tiny pores. Together they give this bar its striking charcoal-grey colour and a fresh, deeply clean feel. The bar is handmade with Coconut, Sunflower and Castor oils for a rich, creamy lather and softly scented with Rose and Lavender essential oils. It's a simple, honest bar for daily washing that is especially well suited to oily and combination skin.

• Ingredients
• Saponified Coconut (Cocos nucifera) Oil, Saponified Sunflower (Helianthus annuus) Oil, Saponified Castor (Ricinus communis) Oil, Bentonite Clay, Activated Carbon, Distilled Water, Rose (Rosa [species]) Essential Oil and Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) Essential Oil.

Usage

Wet the bar and work up a lather between your hands or on a cloth.

Massage it gently over damp skin on the face or body, then rinse thoroughly.

Use once or twice daily.

If you have drier skin, use it a few times a week and follow with a moisturiser.

Between uses, keep the bar on a draining soap dish so it stays firm and lasts longer.
