Libitone 50ml tincture or oxymel

Libitone is a traditional blend of six herbs from rainforests and mountains around the world, gathered for adults who want to feel energised, vibrant and fully themselves. From the Brazilian Amazon come Catuaba bark and Muira Puama, two of the best-known tonic woods of Amazonian folk tradition. From the rainforests of Malaysia and Indonesia comes Tongkat Ali, a prized root of Southeast Asian tradition. Horny Goat Weed (Epimedium) is a classic tonic herb of Chinese practice, and its name comes from an old legend about a goatherd who noticed how lively his flock became after grazing on it. Tribulus has been valued in both Ayurvedic and Chinese traditions, and a touch of warming Cayenne completes the blend. Libitone comes as a fast-absorbing tincture in a 50ml amber-glass spray bottle, or as a gentler, pleasant-tasting oxymel prepared in raw honey and apple cider vinegar in a 50ml amber dropper bottle.

• Horny Goat Weed (Epimedium [species]), Catuaba bark ([Erythroxylum catuaba / Trichilia catigua]), Muira Puama (Ptychopetalum olacoides), Tribulus (Tribulus terrestris), Tongkat Ali (Eurycoma longifolia) and Cayenne Pepper (Capsicum annuum).
• Tincture base (50ml amber-glass spray bottle): alcohol and %, water.
• Oxymel base (50ml amber dropper bottle): raw honey, apple cider vinegar

Usage

Tincture: take 4 to 8 squirts under the tongue or in a little water, once or twice daily, about 15 minutes before meals.

Oxymel: take 15 to 30 drops under the tongue, neat or in a little water, once or twice daily, about 15 minutes before meals.

Use in short courses of up to 7 days at a time.

Drink plenty of water throughout the day.

Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Important Information

Do not use with erectile dysfunction medicines (such as sildenafil or tadalafil) or with nitrate heart medication (such as GTN spray or isosorbide). Horny Goat Weed has similar effects, and combining them may cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure.

Do not use if you have a heart condition, an irregular heartbeat, or high or low blood pressure, or if you take heart or blood-pressure medication, unless your doctor approves.

Do not use if you have, or have had, a hormone-sensitive condition (such as prostate, breast, uterine or ovarian cancer) or if you take hormone medication. Tongkat Ali and Tribulus may affect hormone levels.

Horny Goat Weed may increase the risk of bleeding. Do not use if you take blood-thinning medication or have a bleeding disorder. Stop at least two weeks before any surgery or dental procedure.

Not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or while trying to conceive.

Speak to your doctor before use if you have diabetes, a liver or kidney condition, or take blood-sugar, lithium or psychiatric medication.

Cayenne may worsen heartburn, reflux or stomach ulcers.

The tincture contains alcohol, and the oxymel contains honey and apple cider vinegar.

Stop use and seek advice if you experience palpitations, dizziness, a racing heart, headache, restlessness, difficulty sleeping, nosebleeds, stomach upset or a rash.
