New Mom Essentials Bundle

The New Mom Essentials Bundle is a gentle self-care collection for the weeks and months after birth, a time when mothers so often care for everyone except themselves. Moringa Oil Infusion, made with Moringa leaves slowly infused in Grapeseed oil, is a rich, nourishing oil for a few quiet minutes of self-massage. Collagen PeptiPlus 120 Capsules

Pure hydrolysed collagen peptides, with no added flavours, fillers or preservatives.

Ingredients: 100% Collagen PeptiPlus hydrolysate [bovine / marine source], 500mg per capsule.

LactoPro Capsules

A blend of seven traditional herbs for breastfeeding mothers.

Ingredients: Nettle, Milk Thistle, Ginger, Fenugreek, Fennel, Moringa, Alfalfa.

Usage

Daily

Femtone Oxymel: take 15 to 30 drops under the tongue, neat or in a little water, once or twice daily.

GABA: take 1 to 2 capsules daily, ideally in the evening. Do not take more than 4 capsules a day.

Moringa Oil Infusion: warm a little oil in your hands and massage into the skin 1 to 3 times daily. It's lovely after a bath or shower, or whenever you need a few quiet minutes for yourself.

Optional add-ons

Iron Herbal: take 1 to 2 capsule(s)] daily with a meal. Taking it with a source of Vitamin C, such as orange juice, can help, and tea or coffee is best avoided within an hour of taking it.

Collagen PeptiPlus: take 2 capsules twice daily with water.

LactoPro: start with 1 capsule a day with meals and increase gradually to a maximum of 3.

Radiance Capsules and Wound Powder: follow the label directions (see Important Information).

Introduce one product at a time, and watch how you and your baby respond. Do not exceed the recommended dose of any product.

General

For general wellness and cosmetic use only. This bundle is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent postnatal depression, anxiety, hormonal conditions, low iron, anaemia, breastfeeding difficulties, skin conditions, wounds, infections or any other medical condition.

Not for use during pregnancy. This bundle is designed for the time after birth.

Consult your doctor, midwife or clinic sister before use if you:

have a medical condition, a thyroid, kidney or autoimmune condition (including lupus), diabetes, a bleeding disorder, or a hormone-sensitive condition

take any medication, especially blood-thinning (including warfarin), blood-sugar, blood-pressure, thyroid, sedative, antidepressant, diuretic or lithium medication

If you are breastfeeding

Please check with your doctor, midwife, clinic sister or lactation consultant before using any product in this bundle.

Femtone contains Red Clover and Yarrow, and there is little safety information on GABA while breastfeeding.

Radiance Capsules are not recommended while breastfeeding.

Iron Herbal contains Yellow Dock, which can occasionally cause loose stools in breastfed babies.

Watch your baby for any changes, such as unusual fussiness, sleepiness, wind, loose stools or a rash. Stop use and seek advice if you notice any.

Your wellbeing matters

It's normal to feel tearful or overwhelmed in the first couple of weeks after birth.

If low mood, anxiety or worrying thoughts last longer than two weeks, or you have thoughts of harming yourself or your baby, please speak to your doctor or clinic sister straight away. The Postnatal Depression Support Association of South Africa (PNDSA) also offers support.

These products are not a substitute for care.

Femtone Oxymel

Contains honey and apple cider vinegar.

Avoid if you are allergic to plants in the daisy family (Yarrow) or the legume family (Red Clover).

GABA

May cause drowsiness. Do not drive until you know how it affects you, and do not combine with alcohol, sleeping tablets or sedatives.

Moringa Oil Infusion

For external use only. Patch test before first use.

Avoid the nipple area if breastfeeding, and keep the oil away from your baby's face and hands.

Wound Powder First Aid (optional)

For minor, superficial cuts and grazes only.

Do not use on caesarean wounds, perineal stitches, tears or any surgical wound. Follow your doctor's or midwife's wound-care advice for these.

Seek medical attention for wounds that are red, hot, swollen, oozing or smelly, or if you develop a fever.

Contains Cayenne and Cinnamon, which may sting. Avoid inhaling the powder.

Iron Herbal (optional)

Tiredness after birth is common, but it can also be a sign of low iron. Ask your clinic for a simple blood test. This product is not a substitute for prescribed iron supplements.

Contains Spirulina (avoid if you have PKU), Alfalfa (avoid if you have lupus), and Yellow Dock (avoid with a history of kidney stones).

Collagen PeptiPlus (optional)

Avoid if you are allergic to [beef / fish] (collagen source). Not suitable for vegetarians or vegans.

Radiance Capsules (optional)

Not recommended while breastfeeding.

Contains Glucosamine, which is often derived from shellfish. Avoid if you have a shellfish allergy.

LactoPro (optional)

Not intended to increase or guarantee milk supply. If you're worried about your supply or your baby's weight gain, please get support from a lactation consultant or clinic sister.

Contains Fenugreek and Alfalfa (legumes), so avoid if you are allergic to peanuts, chickpeas or soy.

Fenugreek may give sweat, urine and breast milk a harmless maple-syrup smell.

Stop use and seek advice if you experience:

dizziness, stomach upset, rash, swelling or difficulty breathing

unusual bleeding

any unexpected reaction in you or your baby

Keep all products out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
